Hi folks

I have in my possession a very poor quality, many-generations-down-the-line copy of 'Music In The Old Time Way' by Philip Morgan and would dearly like to buy a new official copy.

The little information I've been able to glean is that it was released by Moving Image Productions of Seattle, maybe about 10 to 15 years ago. I can't trace them and the only contact I found for Philip Morgan - an email from a page featuring an embryo 'North West Music Guide' and his boat - remained unanswered.

Any clues will be gratefully chased up.

Hi Nick - have you tried rec.music.country.old-time? there's some real experts on old recordings there. It's worth subscribing anyway!

Hi Ray, I suppose I ought to start digging in there too - so little time so much to do - it's alright for these retired banjo players! Spare time is starting to get eaten up planning for next Gainsborough.

I've had two replies so far. One says it was published in 1986 by Philip Morgan. The guy mentioned by Burke in the previous posting Philip S Morgan seems to be the one, confirmed by another email I had. There's a phone number on his website
