Can anyone let me have the tune to this Eric Bogle song, please? (If you can't, I might have to buy the record!)

Steve

It's on the Hamish Imlach thread, Steve - the song about pouring all these booze bottles down the sink and tasting each as it goes by. Think that's the gist of it. Ritchie has been begging for the words for a while.
Maybe you two can work out something? (grin)
Blessings,
Barbara

I've lost the thread, Barbara - and isn't that the story of my life! Well, I can't help you there, Ritchie, though I may beable to let you have something else HI recorded: I'll see if I can remember all the words, and get back.

Steve

I just noticed I typed "I may beable" up there: beabling is like burbling, only you smile while you do it. Try it!

Beable beable beable. Yes it works! Hi Steve we meet again. Is Hamish Imlach still at it? I used to write his name on my school exercise books which my friends thought rather odd...

Jo, I don't even know if he's still singing! I used to have a photo of Mary Hopkin inside one of my books. Is "Hamish Imlach" an anagram of something? I'm rambling again, aren't I?

Keep on beabling!

Steve

Come to think of it, I think it's odd ...

We can't go on meeting like this - the mainframe is getting suspicious!

Sad indeed. I was just reading the Folk on 2 thread (and interfering a little, no I mean adding my valued meanderings) - he used to appear on it fairly often in the, ahem, early seventies. Did you ever get the words to the Eric Bogle song by the way? I haven't got them, that was just a kindly enquiry and making sure the thread stays on topic!

Thanks Jo! No, I didn't! Maybe we can make up our own words?

What am I talking about? it's the tune I want!!

Steve

P.S. Maybe we could make music together as well?
