From: Noreen Date: 12 Jul 07 - 04:07 PM Me and Stew and extended families and friends- our party gets larger every year (in number I mean, before the rude comments!) It's nice that the kiddies enjoy Warwick so much that they want to introduce their non-folkie friends to the experience :0) Looking forward to meeting up with lots of nice people again, including all the above xx |

Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: Folkiedave Date: 12 Jul 07 - 04:43 PM We had a great brandy and chocolate session last year. So good a certain fiddle player took two days to recover and her mother-in-law came to the stall to complain. There is a certain affinity with Warwick and drink and me. a year or two earlier - we managed to get a Monkseaton Morris man smashed out of his skull on a combination of polish vodka, raspberry juice and chili sauce - a drink Sheffield City Morris had picked up on a trip to Poland and was apparently called a "Mad Dog". I'll see what else exotic I can bring......... |

Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: Mr Red Date: 13 Jul 07 - 03:26 AM I may be very lonely on Fri so if your steward's radio doesn't work tell me they are not working - over the radio of course! Helping-out with the radio stuff is relatively slow with sporadic panics. All being well I will be arriving early Fri from Bretforton - Fleece Thurs session was a bit slow starting last year probably everyone preparing for the w/e. That's the plan anyway. |

From: fiddler Date: 13 Jul 07 - 03:48 AM Sorry guys, missing you, the giging thing - earning a crust by playing at a party in London somewhere! would come if I could - It is a great festival - if you would all overdoo it - a little - to compensate for me not being there at all, I'll donate my fun to you guys! Andy |

Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: Les from Hull Date: 13 Jul 07 - 02:32 PM Maggie and I will also be there as part of the All-Star Stewarding Team, and getting in a bit of singing and playing in between. Can I put in a request for NO RAIN please! We got rained on last year (we were looking after the main marquee during the big downpour and on the main gate on a rainy Sunday) and as citizens of the most flood-damaged City in Britain - and it's been siling down all day today - enough is enough! |
Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: Linda Kelly Date: 13 Jul 07 - 04:09 PM I second that Les -I presume you are with us for the journey down/back up-we are relying on your varied organic 'snacks of the world' to keep us going. If it rains anymore here I am going to start building that bloody ark! |
Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: Geoff the Duck Date: 13 Jul 07 - 05:59 PM I think that Richard Bridge might have some gopher wood left over from his Rainy Tuesday thread of a couple of weeks back. Quack GtD. |
Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: r.padgett Date: 14 Jul 07 - 03:16 AM I will be there with Jim McD if he survives Stainsby FF and I remember the words at Saddleworth FF!! It was a bit wet last year and I have vivid memories of sitting in Moor and Coast tent with Glen holding the rain off the back of his food tent as the lighting came and the rain flooded the food tent (again) Time for some good weather this year, please Ray |
Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: GUEST,MC Fat Date: 14 Jul 07 - 07:51 AM As padge says i'll be there however won't be at Stainsby as they've just ( as of yesterday 13th July) informed me that I'm not compering which i am extremely miffed about. Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: GUEST,Moses Date: 14 Jul 07 - 02:45 PM This will be the first Warwick I will have missed since I started going in the early 90s:-( Warwick's my favourite festival but Dulverton beckons as they've given us (Moses and the Ref) a concert spot:-) Hope you all have a great time and the rain keeps off us all. Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: Dave Earl Date: 15 Jul 07 - 01:00 PM If there is one place I will be it will be in the beer tent at teatime after I've finished my stewarding for the day. if that fits in with the rest of your festival I'll perhaps see you there. Dave |
Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: Folkiedave Date: 15 Jul 07 - 03:37 PM I wonder if we have a jaundiced view of the weather last year? That was as bad a thunderstorm as I have ever known - and if you want to know how bad it was talk to Graham Bradshaw who saw lightning flashing across his lighting rig during a performance and felt obliged to pull the plug!! And let's remember someone got killed on the bridge too. But as I remember - the rest of the festival was good weather, and thanks to the very dry nature of the ground it was soaked up very quickly - and things seemed to get dry fairly soon. I'll take a book so if you come to the bookstall *collectorsfolk" please feel free to let me know and I will post the names after we get back. I hope to be opposite the beer tent!! Dave |
Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: Rasener Date: 15 Jul 07 - 03:38 PM FolkieDave, seems like you have managed being near the beer tent again LOL :-) |
Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: Folkiedave Date: 15 Jul 07 - 03:49 PM I know Les and it is only where the organisers put me!! Angi who does Warwick craft tents, emailed me to ask if I wanted to be there!! Is the Pope a Catholic!! |

Subject: RE: Warwick F F who is going? From: Linda Kelly Date: 15 Jul 07 - 05:17 PM that poor lad who died was camping in the next tent to us-its a sobering thought-but there is a high weather front on its way-should reach us by 2009 I reckon . |
