Thursday is Thanksgiving Day in the US. Giving thanks that your surgery is not an emergency - hoping that it is acid reflux.

Oh I wish Sins, had counselling today, another session after the proc. tomorrow if needed! That took a bit to sink in! All should be ok. A ten week break when I get out.

We have just had the BBc inthe ward Filming for a monday morning news item. I have been checked out, seems that all my arteries are narrower than they should be and the really narrow bit is on a branch which can't be stented, seems the a-fib caused the blood clot so I am going to get even thinner blood and then see the Cardiologist in Leeds to see where we go from there, I've had counselling for a lifestyle change and the regime looks tough but if I don't stick to it, well, rather not talk about it! I have read some real stories in this thread, I think I have come off quite lightley really compared to some others makes me feel a bit of a wimp! Anyway thanks for all the support, with any luck i will be home tomorrow evening.

Good to hear some positive thoughts. You're tough enough to take the tough moments of changing your lifestyle and sounds like you have a great support network. My very best wishes to you and the family and all the hugs they and you deserve.

Ah, I thought we were talking pacemakers here. Not so good. As you say it'll mean a lifestyle change, and probably not an easy one, but you need to go with the flow. Keep us posted on your progress.

Peter-

Thanks for the update. Sounds like a tough road to recovery but you're right, it beats the alternative. Looking forward to singing with you again.

Will you still be able to drink an occasional beer?

Cheerily,
Charley Noble

Take it easy, but any rehab they give you to do, follow the regimen wherever it marches you off to.

Best of wishes for whatever lies before you.

Peter,

Sorry - can't do anything about alcohol and beer. But maybe someone here can. Who knows...
Take care,
SINS
