Ooopss..I forgot my military service and Honorable Discharges.
I've always had goals and done well considering my 8 years of public education.
Don't forget how Affirmative Action made lots of things easier for blacks. Lots of preferential treatment there. Reverse Discrimination.

I believe that I shall add Mr. Krinkle to my short list of individuals whose posts I pass over because of lack of discernible content.

And were it not for the Republicans in Congress throwing gratuitous roadblocks in his way every chance they get, Obama would have accomplished a helluva lot more than he has.

The log jam will be broken if we re-elect Obama AND get some of those obstructionist Republicans out of there! So one shouldn't just concentrate on the presidential campaign, one should vet one's Senators and Congressional Representatives as well.

Both Senators from my state, Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell are fine. Cantwell is up for re-election, so I'm working for her. And my Representative, Jim McDermott, 7th district, is also fine.

How many folks out there even KNOW who their senators and representatives are?

We won't miss each other. A bit.

Cross-posted,

Mr. Krinkle's resentment of the Affirmative Action program gives a good idea of his dislike for our darker bretheren. Neglecting to consider that this program was an effort to make up for years, if not centuries, of oppression and discrimination.

He seems proud of his lack of higher education.

Well there you go again Don. How many times have you been criminally victimized by your darkie brethren? Been nearly gang raped ? Had your vehicle windows smashed out and your things stolen? I was attacked by my darkie brethren just last weekend. Easy to be so sympathetic from afar.
I bet never. Because you stay out of that part of town.

"How many times have you been criminally victimized by your darkie brethren?"

Never.

Traveling in the musical circles that I do, I have a number of friends who are black jazz musicians, although I'm not into jazz that much myself. And I have a few black friends who are not musicians. One is a very talented writer. And—the Associate Minister at the church my wife and I attend is black.

This'll get up your nose:   While attending the University of Washington, a friend introduced me to the Cosmopolitan Club at the U. of W. branch of the YM/YWCA. The membership was made up of a mix of American students and foreign exchange students from all over the world. There, I met, and had a chance to get to know, several students from India, Egypt, Turkey, and several European countries. I've drunk Turkish coffee brewed in the traditional way by a student from Turkey, I've discussed philosophy with an absolutely brilliant student from India, I dated an English girl a few times. I also gave guitar lessons to a French girl (named Michelle, by the way), who paid for her lessons by tutoring me in French, which I had taken in high school, but was now growing a bit rusty from lack of opportunity to use. I had a chance to discuss the Middle East situation at the time with a student from Egypt. And I was at the Pizza Haven on University Way, just off campus when Legson Kyara, a student I knew from Kenya (Black. Very black) tied into the first pizza he had ever eaten.

And an Indian exchange student who had brought his sitar with him from India played for me, explained the instrument, and explained some of the intricacies of Ragas (a type of Indian music). And he showed that it could also be used for Anglo-American music by playing a very creditable rendition of Greensleeves. The Beatles used a sitar from time to time.

By the way, despite that fact that Nazir would be racially classified as "Caucasion" (White), his skin was actually darker in hue than Obama's.

At one of the first coffee houses I sang in, I often exchanged songs before audiences with a Swedish exchange student named Britt Mongstadt, who also accompanied herself on the guitar. She sang Swedish folk songs, I sang British and American songs.

No, Mr. Krinkle, I enjoy meeting and talking with people from other countries, races, and cultures.

It enriches my own life.

Here's the deal, Krinkz... I worked in the Richmond City Jail teaching GED to black folks with criminal records... I worked an all but lived in a half-way house as a GED teacher/counselor in one of the roughest areas of Richmond (2nd and Calhoun) where I would sit outside many a Saturday night until 3-4:00 am and play my geetar or just talk with rippers 'n runners, prostitutes, gang-bangers until... I been to Mississipi and played blues in juke joints... I played 7 years at Archie Edwards Barbershop up in NE (the hood) and guess what???

I ain't had them problems with black folks... Never... White people??? Different story... You put out enough hate toward people and they gonna retaliate... Maybe you need to to look inside you and leave black people out of your little situation...

Square business...

You puttin' out shit and getting shit back... Clean up yer karma...

I'm afraid I misspelled Legson's last name. It's Kayira. Also, I understood that he was from Kenya, but apparently not. Malawi.

An extraordinary man. Here's part of his story:

As a Canadian on the outside looking in, I think the American people are between a rock and hard place in this particular election. Damned if they keep Obama and equally or more so damned if they go with Romney.

If I were an American I'd tilt towards the Dems, but this latest Newsweek article if you read it in its entirely, makes compelling points about why he should not be given a 2nd term:

One party wants to accomplish a 60 year hatred of the New Deal, Canuk, and will do it if they pull off a big win... That party is the Republican Party... They hate the New Deal... They hate FDR... Now we have 3rd and 4th generations of Republicans who hate the New Deal...

No, this ain't being being caught between a rock and a hard place... This is a no brainer if you are a working man or woman... BTW, Newsweek is a Republican propaganda rag...

We have more political parties than just two. You don't have to vore for Repugs or Demos. And you've just lived and worked around a higher grade of darkie brethren. Bobette, you were in a situation in which they had to kiss your ass if they wanted to get out of jail.Everyone in the hood knew to suck up to you if their relatives were going to get out.Come to Atlanta. Move to a neighborhood on Lee Hollowell Parkway. Or Metropolitan Parkway. Or MLK Jr. Boulevard.
They'll show you nothing but love. And bullets.

Now, my thread never referred to race and it was never meant to go there.
Don drew the race card. The go to place because he can't come up with any recommendations for Prez al-Obama.
Lily white. Rednecks. Darker brethren
You introduced skin color into my thread because you are a guilt tripper and class hater.

""If he lived to be as old as Mosses he wouldn't accomplish what you have accomplished...""

Spot on Bobz!

And in addition to being stupid enough to be proud of his non contribution to self improvement, he is also stupid enough to state:

""Now, my thread never referred to race and it was never meant to go there.
Don drew the race card. The go to place because he can't come up with any recommendations for Prez al-Obama.
"".

The title of the thread clearly gives the lie to this claim, and he compounds it by repeating the racial slur in his denial.

This guy's I.Q. is somewhat smaller than his collar size.

Not worth arguing with!

If you are telling the truth sir(and I have no reason to doubt you), you must have rather a good grasp of "race relations"

My son had much the same experiences when he moved to a black area in London. It caused him to realise that there is good and evil in every race, not just the "palefaces".

There are no medals for telling the truth on a "liberal" forum.
All that you mention will be thrown at you.....except perhaps the lynching :0)......yet!

Race relations are what they are, Ake...

If yer eat up with hate it's comin' back atcha...

Krinkx is reaping what he sows...

I get along with black folks better than I do with white people... There is an energy that folks give off toward each other that is unmistakable... If its love (or even like) it gets picked up... If its hate, it gets picked up...

Kinda like Son House saying "Don't mind people grinning in your face"... What he is talking about is mostly Southern behavior where people are giving off the hate vibe but with a big ol' grin on their face as if they like you... Son was a smart man and a preacher... His point is that even folks that might hate you might be grinnin' in your face but that beat the heck out of stringin' you up from some tree...
