Wow, this getting really exciting now... Is everyone staying until Monday morning? How long have we go the campsite for? More importantly for tenters, how long will the loos stay on-site? (I'm an ignorant newbie xx)

Someone whose tastebuds I trust, and who like me was weaned on Harveys, recommends Goddards beer. This is important purely because I need a decent pint as a prop in a song, you understand.

What's the weather forecast, anyone?

Valmai

GREAT. We've had to put up tents in drizzle and downpour several times this year.

Many thanks to Andy and Hector for putting the link to our concertina session music on the front page of the Folkstation website!

Hiya again everyone!!! Splottie and me had a brill weekend. The weather was fantastic, the ambiance and company was wonderful, the trip on the pooh pooh train and singing with the Hare Krishna lot on route made a great party on the platform (you should have been there!), the spoons orchestra, the cheese burgers on site, the woodland walk, the venue itself...........just a few of the things that made my weekend - oh and of course not forgetting the music...ta Andy for getting us out there. XX Pat

It was Steve's first folk festival and he really enjoyed it, even if we didn't get to any formal concerts!
What a friendly festival and how clever of everyone to arrange so much sunshine - other festivals, please copy!

What a BRILLIANT weekend it was. We even had a Folkstation Reunion on the ferry back when various people put in an appearance who were booked on to a later ferry but managed to get on ours! Can I come back again, please?

Hmm. Sounds like I may need to find a way to beat the ferry prices next year - or borrow a small tent and bring mandolin and boxes of capos so I can borrow guitars, to ferry as a foot passenger!

An absolute blast from start to finish. Heard lots of good music, played some of it, met plenty of old friends and made some new ones, drank lots of jolly good beer.

Blissfully good weather and a charming setting. I saw a buzzard and another bird of prey I couldn't identify over the trees round the camp site one afternoon.

We have red kites, Valmai--but you'd know those, I dare say. Also peregrines.

Nah. Wasn't a kite. Smaller than the buzzard. We wondered if it might be a peregrine.

Fantastic weekend. Lots of lovely music, met old friends, made new ones and it only rained at night.

Many thanks to the organisers.

Just coming down to earth at last.
A truly memorable weekend, plus extensions before and after! The atmosphere was wonderful, a little bit of M....n still remains.
Thanks to all who came and supported what looks like a permanent fixture on the Folk Map.
Loads of photos still to sort but two nights of Morris and a Local fun day to help with, before we get a chance!!

Andy
