I finally got around to uploading some more MP3's to my mp3.com site, despite recent negative changes in their format (see Hesperis' changes in mp3.comthread for my complaints on that).

It took about a week for my upload to go live, the first one is "The Peat Fire Flame", to be followed soon by an electric "Matty Groves".

Hi Amos. I've been working for a living, and when not working, commuting.

And when not working or commuting, single parenting (temporary situation).

Not even makin maple syrup this year, too busy.

But i've been posting when I get a few moments...they've been far between.

New mp3, "Matty Groves" is just going live. Should show up there in the next...half hour or so? (I hope).

Vocals by Morag, instruments by me, doing my best electric Fairport impression...

Takes em forever to put stuff active...this new caste system (AKA "premium artist service") at mp3.com bites the big one.

Half an hour, my ass. It took two days of "going live". But Matty Groves is finally up there.

Thanks Hesp. I just uploaded three more tracks from my archives...one is an electric guitar rendition of "Music From The Glen" which is quite a bit more rockin than anything else you'll have heard from me.

I shouldn't even mention this now, cause the way things are going, they should be up and downloadable inside of, oh maybe six weeks?

Go for Premium if you are willing to do the work necessary to ensure that you at least get the money back.

New tune up on the site now: Music From the Glen. (the reel in O'Neill's).

I uploaded this twice to see what the time-difference would be. First time I uploaded it was, as noted, Mar 30, before I cracked and signed up as a Preemie. That one, like the other tracks from that day, is not on the site yet. After I signed as a Premium artist I uploaded Music From The Glen again (with a slightly different title) on Sunday night. That upload is now available on the site, as of Tuesday morning. The earlier uploads are still listed as "not approved", so they'll take, um, forever...I'll upload them again instead of waiting.

About the tune: Most people who comment on my playing use words like "smooth" and "mellow"...this entry is pretty different from that. That Tele was a great guitar==had soul. (Now it's someone else's great guitar. The guy I sold it to turned around and sold it to someone else within a week at a $200 profit. Doh.) It was plugged directly into the 4-track with a lot of gain for this.

My repertoire/stylistic debt to Archie Fisher is showing up...

And I apologize for the cheesy $25 keyboard part I inflicted on this great song. Don't know what the hell I was thinking. It was the 80's, I had no taste back then...
