Greetings Everyone---

I wanted to let you know that Mister and I will be appearing at President Grant's Grand Birthday Celebration in Galena, Illinois, April 11-12. Friday evening we'll be at the DeSoto House, and Saturday... well, I'm not sure exactly. I think Saturday, we're floating. Anyway, if any of you are in the area, I hope you will come say hello.

Cheers---

Kim

Is there a demand for belly dancers in Illinois?

Now, do you also give General Lee equal time?

Ken

We didn't have belly dancing in the US until the 1890s, when Little Egypt performed at the Chicago World's Fair, or something like that. However, some of our friends do a little Curiosity Show, and I've been trying to convince them they need a belly dancer for that. (Napoleon went to Egypt, after all.)

Since we do mostly Southern gigs, being in Tennessee and all, we are looking forward to a chance to finally get to play Marching Through Georgia to an appreciative audience!!! ;-)

Seriously, I haven't been up there before, and I hear Galena is really a swell little town. The event sounds like fun and we are really looking forward to it.

Kim, I did not go to the link until after I had posted. I did not realize that you and Paul were performing!

I am proud for you. Knock 'em dead!

Now, if you can only work your way down to Mississippi, I'll be there!

The best to you!

Ken

Galena IS cool. Be on the lookout for Jim Post, who moved there awhile back and may still be there.

I will keep an eye peeled for Mr. Post.

Hey, we would love to work in Mississippi! It ain't like it's that far away from Nashville! :-)

One of our favorite places, Kim. Ruth and I tend to end up in Galena whenever we go out to visit my family in Southern Wisconsin.

I can picture the place we go to, but don't remember the name... it happens when you get old...

Be sure to get a turtle sundae at Culver's and remember my wife as you're eating it..

Way to go Kim C. I'm tempted to drive up and say hello - maybe next time!

Best of luck.
