Subject: Lyr Req Springtime in the Rockies From: GUEST,DrWord Date: 07 Mar 05 - 12:38 AM Found Blue Canadian Rockies & some others in the DT but not apparently this one. As I understand it, the song begins with the line "WHEN IT'S springtime in the Rockies..." There may be some distinctions between "spring time" and "springtime" of course--I didn't do "Advanced search". I've had this song requested more than once @ the Seniors' home where I alternate on a volunteer basis with the paid accountable music therapist. If it's already in the DT somewhere ... point me to it with my thanx. Otherwise a posting [with your take on a set of chords ?] would be appreciated. Maybe mooh could sing it to me :) cheers dennis [under about half a foot of fresh wet snow] http://www.mts.net/~oakacorn |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req Springtime in the Rockies From: greg stephens Date: 07 Mar 05 - 06:06 AM Bloody typical, Masato beat me again when I was typing out the words. However, I have had my small triumphs occasionally, on the very rare occasions when the Masato sleeps! |

Turns out, this may well be an appropriate repertoire addition for my other gig, 3 Guys 44 Strings. Keep on pickin' & be kind to yourselves Dennis Oak in the Acorn Labyrinth |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req Springtime in the Rockies From: open mike Date: 07 Mar 05 - 01:05 PM Dennis, dr. word...that is a great labyrinth!! I have 3 of them at 39 degrees north latitude, 121 west!! one is a portable one i take to festivals, campgrounds, gatherings. it is painted on a tarp--16 foot in diameter. Another (32 feet) is lined out in fire hose, and another, 64 feet, is planted with turf walk ways....it is surrounded with blooming daffodills right now.. as the outer course is planted in bulbs. I should have used bricks so i wouldnot have to weed 1/2 mile of area!! I bet the snow makes yours disappear... thanks for singing for the elders-and thanks for bringing that song to the table. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req Springtime in the Rockies From: GUEST,DrWord Date: 09 Mar 05 - 01:53 PM Thanks for the kind words, Mike. I take it that you are on the West coast. I would PM you, but I'm lost in a funny limbo with my Mudcat nick. The forgotten password thing ... I've changed ISPs so the robot will only mail to the old address ... aaaaaargh. I guess I'll just be GUEST, DrWord around here .... Thx again 2 the first responders for the info and links. openmike, we'll be in touch cheers dennis |
