Anyone know what the name of the song is about the woman that was murdered in the streets of NY in the 60's when everyone watched from there windows and no one called the police...it is a true story. Can anyone help?

I started the thread. but when I cam back to check for some post. I couldn't find the original thread. I have been looking for an answer to this quetion for a long time.
Can anyone help? Seems like it was by bufflao springfield or (th street bridge... HELP?
