Subject: Balade au clair de la lune From: GUEST Date: 28 May 07 - 05:22 AM Hello The moon is getting bigger so its nearly time for the Balade au Clair de la Lune This is a litlle family friendly festival, organised by the Associations Mama Musique and CAEB; each full moon during the summer we have a free concert and the chance to take a moonlite pony trek into the Brocéliande forest. (Brittany France) This year as well as the groups that are playing (you can see the full line up here http://mama.musique.free.fr/ballade_au_claire_de_la_lune.html there is also a "scene ouvert" where you can show off your musical tallents? If you are interested in playing us a few tunes or singing a couple of songs either this month Friday 1 Juin, or on any of the other dates, drop us a note....(and post on this tread to keep it visible) regards Kara |
Subject: RE: Balade au clair de la lune From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 30 May 07 - 08:05 AM That looks fun. It's good to see a notice here about things happening outside the English speaking world. Riding through a French forest at full moon... What about the werewolves? |
Subject: RE: Balade au clair de la lune From: GUEST,CrazyEddie Date: 30 May 07 - 08:14 AM "What about the werewolves?" I used to be a werewolf, but I'm alright noWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW I'll get me wolfskin.... |
Subject: RE: Balade au clair de la lune From: GUEST,edthefolkie Date: 30 May 07 - 10:21 AM No werewolves hopefully...but look out for Merlin! Tréhorenteuc where this fest appears to be held is great - there's a Church of the Holy Grail with some amazing modern stained glass. I think it was all done up about 40-50 years ago by the parish priest who's commemorated by a statue outside. Memory a bit hazy as I had been on the vin rouge! There are no end of other sites in the area (Brocéliande)relating to the Breton version of the Arthurian legends. Places like Merlin's Grave - three or four big collapsed stones in the middle of a wood. Quite weird as persons unknown have left little tokens like notes, ribbons, flowers etc stuffed into the cracks and hung from the trees. Really is like going back 2000 years or so. |
Subject: RE: Balade au clair de la lune From: GUEST Date: 31 May 07 - 07:43 AM Merlin is bound to put in an apearance. YOu might get a glimps of Morgane too. |
