Subject: UK Mudcatters form new band From: Sir Roger de Beverley Date: 15 Feb 08 - 08:36 AM Three of us - Oombanjo(banjo, guitar & vocals), Mississippi John(guitar, harmonica & vocals)and Sir Roger de Beverley (mandolin, guitar, harmonica & vocals)- together with a friend, Pete(accordian, banjo & bass), have formed a band to play old timey tunes and songs mixed in with other country/blues/folk selections. Our first public performance will be at The Tiger Inn, Lairgate, Beverley on Saturday March 8th starting between 8.30pm and 9.00pm Entry is free but you may have to pay to get out! Seriously though, a good turn out for support would be much appreciated. Oombanjo says that we should be called the Saggy Bottom Boys but Mississippi John insists that his is pert. R |

Subject: RE: UK Mudcatters form new band From: Rumncoke Date: 16 Feb 08 - 04:11 AM I've been making kilts for some time and can calculate the percentage pertness just by eye now. I had thought of having a pertness panel meet beforehand, for adjudication, and possible issue of pertness certificates, but alas I am far to the south and will not be able to attend the inorger inaurg the first appearance of the band, but hope all goes well. |
