I posted to a thread about 8:00 last night. After 11:19 last night, I have been unable to. Every time I try, I get diverted to a blank page with the message "Access Denied."

This is an experiment to see if I have better luck starting a new thread.

If it happens again, contact me by e-mail. If you get an "access denied" message, go immediately to http://www.whatismyip.com/ (what is my IP, with no spaces - CTRL-ENTER will add the www.and.com. (by the way, the site has a nifty tool to measure your Internet speed)

Copy the IP shown at the top of the page that appears, and send it to me by e-mail. Then maybe I can troubleshoot.

I know we've had problems with folks on AOL posting to threads. Not STARTING threads but posting to them. If this is what's happening, folks figured out how to get around it, but I don't know how. (I sort of remember something about them using a different browser and not the AOL one.)

If she can send PMs, she's not blocked by Mudcat.

I've been having the same thing happen, but not just on Mudcat, so I wonder if it has something to do with Mozilla.

I forgot about the problem with the AOL browser. That AOL browser has been the most common cause of that particular problem here. The easy way to fix it, is to switch to any other browser.

I know I posted to this last night. I am having loads of trouble getting post to take. I almost always have to stop it loading, then refresh, then post and even then it sometimes does not post. Last night when I tried to post to this, the first time, it took me to my personal page when I hit submit.

Lots of times i get a 400 bad something or other message which says something about the virtual server not connecting to anything. I had copied the error message and pasted it in here, but that one didn't take like I thought it did. Arrgghhh!:-)

Just typed a post for a BS thread. Hit submit and it took me to the sign in page. Went back and there's my post. Hit submit, again, and it took me to this:

400 Bad Request
Request cannot be handled by the server.

Reason: Connection with Host: header containing unknown local host name "us.bc.yahoo.com". Received on IP address (removed), which is not bound to any virtual server. Cannot proceed.

Went back, again, there's my post. Hit submit and it took, finally.

I had dumped all cookies, etc. this morning, so I don't think that's it.

Joe did his magical tweaking and the problem is fixed (as you can see).
