Subject: RE: Greetings Mudcatters!! From: Marion Date: 14 Oct 02 - 03:41 PM Greggle, are you in a city? I've found lots of sheet music in my city's public library system, as well the Music Faculty library at the local university. Marion |
Subject: RE: Greetings Mudcatters!! From: Justa Picker Date: 14 Oct 02 - 04:04 PM Well if you like jazz and standards (yes I know this is largely a folk and blues forum) and if you have a high speed connection, here's gift for you (and anyone else). Go here and download The Real Book (in PDF format) as well as the New Real Books (all 3) zipped and in PDF format as well. There's enough sheet music to keep you busy for years, and give you enough material to play piano bars and lounges and then some. I'd suggest you move fast and grab this stuff. There's no telling how long this page or link will be functional. Cheers and welcome to the zoo. |

Subject: RE: Greetings Mudcatters!! From: Mark Clark Date: 14 Oct 02 - 07:59 PM J.P., Thanks for that link. I've lost all my Real Books over the years and couldn't find any more. Now I've got them back. People should also check out the other documents at the site you referenced. For instance there's a PDF file called Jazz Scale Theory and another file that contains an improvization primer. There seem to be other resources worth checking out as well. - Mark |
