The new FOAOTMAD fundraising sampler cd is now available.

Friends of American Old Time Music and Dance

Comprising of tracks generously donated by American artists who have guested at previous Gainsborough festivals, it is called 'Friends Across The Pond' and features (in a semblance of alphabetical order): Riley Baugus, Dave Bing, Bob Carlin, Celestial Railroad String Band, Dwight Diller, Gandydancer, Rayna Gellert, Sara Grey, Diane Jones, Konnarock Critters, Dan Levenson, Kate Lissauer, Debby McClatchy, Bruce Molksy, Ron Mullenex, New Deal String Band, Reed Island Rounders, Rough Deal String Band and our most recent headliners, Tom, Brad and Alice.

If you wish to order a copy, it costs £13 including postage and packing for those in the UK. Make your cheques payable to FOAOTMAD and send to Claire Rudd, 53 North Street, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 3PW (and UK if you don't live here).

Available elsewhere for 20 US dollars or 20 euros - includes postage - send cash at your own risk. Sorry, but no foreign cheques or cards.

That's as good an Old Time sampler CD as I've seen in years - superb for finding out what the modern US Old Time musicians are turning out. I can't wait for my copy - having seen and enjoyed (and often jammed with)all of these people at the Gainsborough OT Festival.
Cheers
Ray

Great stuff - the CD's got an excellent review at the
Musical Traditions website by Mike Yates. He's a bit critical of the sleevenotes, but loves the music.
