It will soon be here. Drive carefully past Mt. St Helen's if you go that way. Bring respirators....just joking. It shouldn't be that bad. Do bring comfortable folding chairs unless you like hard benches and metal chairs. Flashlights. Sweaters. Warm sleeping bags..cabins are unheated. Recording devices...we have some super singers...I would love to get some good recordings...one thing I can guarantee is we will be loud..very very loud...if anyone has a strobe light that fits into a car battery and could bring it that could help show the entrance better. I had one last year. Remember, do not go to ocean shores..it is OCEAN PARK BY LONG BEACH.   DO NOT GO TO WHERE THE CAMP WAS LAST YEAR EITHER. i HAVE LEFT directions on my answering machine at 360-642-8049. Get to Long Beach, then Ocean PARK PARK PARK. Stop at Jack's store..I shall have posted directions from there. Otherwise, turn east at the light there (west will take you to the ocean). Go one mile, turn left, go less than a mile, past Ark sign, Port of Peninsula sign, past white house, turn into clump of trees where there should be an obscure sign that says Camp Morehead...or we might have put up a big sunnycamp sign I hope. I'm a little over busy now because I am working nonstop at my second job...but some wonderful singers are going to be coming so you can come at the last minute..just show up, money in hand (prorated for shorter stays). mg

I like a harvest home sort of theme...so if you have apples, squash, flowers, etc....bring them along.

oh, closed to traffice, about 8:45 to 11 there should be one lane going through. At 11 I think a bus picks up stragglers. There might be an initial period when both lanes are closed, but it shouldn't last forever....

So hope to see everyone soon. Should be about 20 people staying at camp, plus locals. weather is iffy; rainy yesterday, mixed today but beautiful sunset. Bring rain gear, footwear for muddy ground (not too muddy there..lot of sand)...warm sleeping gear. A folding chair that is comfortable is not a bad idea. Music to drive dull care away.

Hope the salmon are still running or we can't have salmon dinner..pork chops just aren't the same. I hope to be there a bit after three on Friday...but no guarantees. The place should be open.

Whoever gets there, make yourself to home. Darn..do we need coffee filters...there is some good coffee and a big can of so so. Might as well start with the good stuff. There is a little coffee maker in the main room..don't think we neeed a huge vat of it.

As soon as I get there, I'll probably make some oatmeal, chocolate chip, pecan or walnut, cookies.

there is a pizza oven you just turn on like a regular oven. There is a gas stove contraption....I'll wait till an expert shows up.

Looking forward to it. Boy, I hope the weather is warm and sunny. Supposed to be mixed, which is OK.

Mary ... I KNOW it's raining, but your rain must be more severe than ours. I mean, after all, to find a salmon swimming on your front porch this morning!!! CHEERS, Bob

There was a fellow fishing the Kenai River last year who hooked into what he thought was a large fish. It didn't fight very hard, but seemed to be quite massive. When he got it to the boat he found that he had hooked into a loose stringer of Sockeyes. One cast and he caught 7 salmon, already gutted and ready to fillet.

Hey Mike ... I read somewhere yesterday that someone pulled in a 500 lb GIANT Squid. My dim memory says it was up your way. Were you there. He said that he was attacked by the sucker legs.

By the way, down here in western Washington, we've had the biggest run of silvers in many years. There's SOOOO many silvers (Hey Bob, tell us just HOW many silvers there were?) that they fairly jumped into the boats and cleaned themselves!!!    CHEERS, Bob

mg - You are lucky. This time of year, most people who receive and unidentified package on their porch get a box of oversized zuccini.
