Subject: Toronto folksinger: Kathlen From: GUEST,Sally McCalla Date: 18 May 05 - 01:19 PM When I lived in Toronto in the 1970's I knew a very good folk singer and songwriter who just went by the name of "Kathlen." Her original name was Kathlen Kuklinski and her married name was Kathlen McKee. Her husband, who she split up with while I knew her, owned a science fiction book store on Queen Street. I think it was alled Bacca or Bakka. I lost contact with her when I left Toronto and I can't find any information about her on the internet. A friend suggested I try here. Does anyone know what became of her? Or how I can get in touch we here? Thank you. Sally McCalla |

Subject: RE: Toronto folksinger: Kathlen From: Peace Date: 19 May 05 - 01:49 AM Sally, If you still know some folks in Toronto, they might give a call to the other two names listed in the rticle and see if Kathlen is still there in the district or not. Gives you a place to start, anyway. Luck to you. BM |

Subject: RE: Toronto folksinger: Kathlen From: C. Ham Date: 18 Mar 08 - 06:44 PM Hi Kathlen, I recall seeing you perform at the Golem in Montreal in the 1970's. Are you still performing? If so, where? I've lived in Toronto for many years now, but don't recall seeing your name around any of the clubs here. |
|
Subject: RE: Toronto folksinger: Kathlen From: GUEST,Kathlen Date: 19 Mar 08 - 01:52 PM Sorry Bob the Postman, I didn't know Joan. Try CBC Radio Edmonton. They taped and broadcast the Edmonton Folk festival as well as the other western festivals and sometimes still replay them. Have even released some on CD. Hi C. Ham, the Golem was a great club and I loved playing in Montreal. Always had a good response from people there. I haven't been performing folk music since the early 80's. My focus shifted to visual and performance arts then and art is what occupies my time and mind now. Kathlen |

Subject: RE: Toronto folksinger: Kathlen From: GUEST Date: 05 Apr 08 - 10:05 PM Hi C. Ham, no shows or exhibits coming up at this time. Working on stuff for about two years from now. Thanks for asking. Kathlen |
