Subject: RE: Lower Coke Sun 21 Mar From: Pierre Le Chapeau Date: 26 Mar 10 - 09:20 AM Swing from chandeliers,? Yeah thats right? bring the bloody ceiling down? Right Richard are we having a Nags session on the Sunday 18th April 2010 because I have a day off that day and I have heard rumor I have also brought yet another Clip on tuner? My 12 string stays in tune very well indeed despite old folk Legends that say 12 strings do not stay in tune and one is forever tuning them Nonsense. but it wont stay in tune until Sweeps I fear. This next tuner I will secure it to the headstock like a friend of mine has done and that will be the end of losing tuners. When Richard reunites me with the one I left at his place I will do the same with that on the 6 string. I do not see why one has to keep taking clip on tuners Off and on anyway might has well leave them where they are securely. I think its a excellent Idea. Regards Pierre |

I must say I am looking forward to it though. Pierre, the headstock of a guitar is holy ground and should only carry the tuners, makers name, nut, dust and the odd fag burn from that Keith Richards moment. It's not to be cluttered with electronic tuners and capo's etc, it's against the law!! Although if you're at a session and happen to find a pick then it's quite acceptable to jam that between the strings at the headstock in the hope that the rightful owner will come forward and claim the pick. But that's another story... Paul. |

Subject: RE: Lower Coke Sun 21 Mar From: morning wood Date: 26 Mar 10 - 01:03 PM Al, it's in Pateley Bridge if you know it. It's a bit of a jaunt but I'm looking forward to it. I was going a few years ago but then fell off my bike and broke the thumb and index finger on one hand and the thumb on the other! After that didn't touch the much guitar for about 3 years, and the digits still aint right. No need to feel nervous around me, it's a case of "all the gear and no idea" I'm afraid. Paul. ps Sorry for the fred drift. |
