Looking for old song lyric to "Calling You."
Verse goes like this:

Calling you, calling you,
Can you hear the blessed saviour calling you?
He will take you by the hand,
Lead you to the promised land.
Can you hear the blessed saviour calling you?

CALLING YOU
(Hank Williams)
« © '48 Fred Rose Music »

When you've strayed from the fold and there's trouble in your soul
Can't you hear the blessed Saviour calling you
When your soul is lost in sin and you're at your journey's end
Can't you hear the blessed Saviour calling you
Calling you calling you can't you hear the blessed Saviour calling you
He will take you by the hand lead you to that promised land
Can't you hear the blessed Saviour calling you

[ steel ]

As you journey day by day and temptation comes your way
Can't you hear the blessed Saviour calling you
If you follow in his light he will always guide you right
Can't you hear the blessed Saviour calling you
Calling you calling you...

[ piano ]

When your soul is burden down and your friends cannot be found
Can't you hear the blessed Saviour calling you
If you'll follow him each day he will brighten up your way
Can't you hear the blessed Saviour calling you
Calling you calling you...
Can't you hear the blessed Saviour calling you

Susan, no prob. I HTML 'em the lazy person's way, search-n-replace in Word, so no biggie.

And 'Spaw, I've yet to get a 30-minute one, let alone 2! Way to go.

A nice old Hank Williams tune. And have you heard his grandson sing? Sounds just like Hank Sr.

Hank Williams, Sr.'s lyrics sites are here and here. Besides his songbooks, songs written by him (ones by others are excluded) are collected in Don Cusic, Hank Williams: The Complete Lyrics (St. Martin's Press, 1993).

Thanks masato--

There's also Hank Williams Complete, ISBN 0-634-00694-0 from Hal Leonard (U.S. $19.95)--has music score, lyrics, and guitar chords for nearly everything Hank ever did. Good stuff. As a matter of fact, it's got Calling You--I'll try to get the tune into Miditext and post it before we leave for WINFIELD tomorrow morning, but no guarantees!
