Please hold the men of Engine 33, as well as the men and woman of Ladder 9, their compainion company, and their families, and the family of Michael Boyle in the light today. Just a little while ago, today, his remains were found in the ruins of the World Trade Center.

My wife and I went down to Ground Zero on Thursday. A very sobering experience to stand there and reflect on the lives lost, and those forever changed by their loss.

It is one of the best things I can say about folk music - that we sing the praises simple decent folk like this. We are lucky to have and to have had people like this in the world. May we never take them for granted.
