Subject: Jed rocks! From: nosluap57 Date: 17 Sep 07 - 09:25 PM Of course we all know that. But I am one of the lucky ones who got to see him last Friday at Uncle Calvin's (Dallas) with his son Jeremy and Mason Brown. Every time I see Jed I am more impressed with his vocals and stringmanship. His song writing is as good as it gets. |

Subject: RE: Jed rocks! From: Jeri Date: 18 Sep 07 - 09:10 AM Website at jedmarum.com. The attack photos drive me nuts, but Jed knows that. All the people nosluap57 named are in those photos, except 'Jeremy' who is played by Jaime Marum. Yes, Jed rocks. A big part of the reason I like his music so much is that it seems so effortless and natural that you don't notice how much goes into it. He makes it look so easy, and that takes more skill than the flashy stuff. |

Subject: RE: Jed rocks! From: SINSULL Date: 18 Sep 07 - 01:59 PM Crap! I thought from the thread title that he had lost his mind and gone electric ala Dylan. Jed is a pleasure to watch and hear and of course he plays the banjo. |

Subject: RE: Jed rocks! From: JedMarum Date: 19 Sep 07 - 11:40 PM Hey - thanks for the thread. We had a great time at Uncle Calvin's. I've heard there's some video of the show, so if I can get a few moments that're worthwhile, I will post a Youtube video - and link back to this thread. Jaime and I worked with Mason in Kansas City and enjoyed getting him to do these Dallas shows with us (we also played Grapefest - on Saturday). We have a few more dates lined up with Mason next year. A friend of his made this video clip of Mason playing in the green room at Dollywood ... we played this song at Uncle Calvin's ... |

Subject: RE: Jed rocks! From: katlaughing Date: 20 Sep 07 - 12:04 AM Damn! I can see why you like performing with Mason Brown. Nicely done on your White Cockade. Of course, I already know why he'd want to play with you and yours. Just keep getting better and better. Thanks for being here and sharing. kat |

Subject: RE: Jed rocks! From: GUEST,lost cookie Date: 20 Sep 07 - 11:44 AM I'm dyslexic, and in perusing the thread names I wondered if Red Jocks was the name of a new band. Sorry |

Subject: RE: Jed rocks! From: JedMarum Date: 20 Sep 07 - 05:35 PM ... been playing with a few band configs that I will probably call Lonestar Stout. We'll do at least one series of shows, under that name and I may use the name for the various band configs I use. We'll see. (The link shows some of our promo stuff ... the project's still in the works ... once again the music is the easiest part). |

Subject: RE: Jed rocks! From: JedMarum Date: 01 Oct 07 - 12:47 AM OK - I have a three clips from the Uncle Calvins show in Dallas. It's pretty low tech - but you can get the idea. Here're links to the clips. Please look, rate them and comment on them at Youtube - if you can. That helps with my ratings. ;-) A Yankee in Texas White Cockade Folk Medicine Show |

Subject: RE: Jed rocks! From: open mike Date: 01 Oct 07 - 01:28 AM If you did have a band called red Jocks, you should get Jimmy T (whatever happened to Jimmy T? remember him?? ) to make some crimson thongs with the band logo on them to sell along with the c.d.'s at each show! |
