I have talked some on here about playing live music on-line. So much for the discussion – I am not here to espouse the pros and cons. If, however, you would like to hear what is going on in this arena, and hear about 40 performers streaming live performances in CD Quality to your PC in your home anywhere on the globe, here what you do.

The Mill Pond Folk Festival
Friday June 8th – 6-12 PM Eastern Time
Saturday June 9th – 3-12 PM Eastern Time

Once you get to the website, Click on "Live Music Schedule"
You will see the performers listed. A "Listen" button will be active during their performance. Bingo.

iTunes and Winamp are the recommended media players. Instructions are on the site. Or try Windows Media Player.

I will be performing from 8-9 PM Eastern on June 9th.

NOTE: The times listed are in both SL Time (Pacific Time US) and Eastern Time.

The Festival is being run by some people on Second Life (www.secondlife.com). It is NOT necessary to be on Second Life or to register for anything to listen to the performances. Give it a try…I think you will be surprised at how far the technology to spread live music around the planet has come. If you do so, I would be very interested in your comments.

Congratulations, dw and wow!! I will catch your time slot for sure and see about the others. What a wonderful idea, esp. for those of us in the outlands who cannot always make it to the fests.
