Origins: Quack diddle-dioso

I'm trying to track down games played by passing the beat from hand to hand around a circle (like Stella-Ella or down by the banks) I've heard the song Quack diddle-di-oso referenced too - but I cannot find lyrics or a source anywhere.

Does anyone know it? I would be very curious to know where you sang it - I assume it is a playground game.

Any help is appreciated!

I would love to know of any other games you have played in this same manner
