The second Abbey music and beer festival is happening at the Abbey Inn, Newlay, Leeds on the weekend of the 20th-22nd July. As last year, the event is free with bucket collections for St George's Crypt, a Leeds charity which helps homeless people. Also if you have any old clothes or are able to donate any toiletries or tinned food, please bring them down.

Confirmed to play so far (not necessarily in order of playing):

Saturday: (From noon)The Duncan McFarlane Band, The Durbervilles, Mulberry Blue, The Hall Brothers, WestPort, Rae Bailey, Roger Davies, Gerry Cooper, Pinco Toot, Shoot the Breeze, Paul Jeffery, Peter & Gordon, Keepers Fold, Lime Scurvy, Peter Taylor, Scouse Andy, Medusa Goth Morris

Sunday: (From noon)The Allensmith, Rockin'John Leeson, Otra, Dave Whiteley, Red Herring, Blind Danny Lemon, John Waller, Rosie Clegg, Whitney Gin, Not Quite Noel, Peculiar Blue, Waterland.

As well as the music there will be around 60 real ales on sale over the weekend and food available.

Camping is available just 5 minutes from the pub. It'll cost £15 per person for the weekend which includes breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Contact Martin at the pub on 0113 258 1248,to book your pitch.

Last year was very enjoyable so if you can make it we'd really appreciate seeing you there!

Just heard from the Durbervilles that they're going to have to pull out. A real shame - they're a top band. Not their fault either so I can't even vent my spleen at 'em!

The line-up and cause are still as strong as ever (as is the beer being specially prepared for the festival - an 8% pale ale. Phew!), so it would be good to see you there.

By the way camping is still available just 5 minutes walk from the pub. If you could book it in advance, it would be really helpful!
