How many CD's Pressed?

With the conversation on another thread about PDJ's "Flat Earth" Cd not being available anymore - Generally, in the UK particularly, how many Cd's are artists having produced as the first run, and how many on any second pressing? And who makes the decision about a re-issue?

NOT - UK but EU

Fifteen different CD's pressed - 1000 per lot - sold out on all - reissued on 8 and sold out the 1000 lot again. Two have gone to 1000 again. The Brits are a handy lot with lots to spend if your tickle their fancy and know the right spot while lefthand is greasing the local.

Not as bad as SA...worse.
