Just a quick message to promote the fact that the penultimate GBH ceilidh of 2007/8 will be taking place on Saturday 12th January at Godalming Borough Hall. Herewith a message from the organiser, Lawrence Heath

"On Saturday 12th January 2008 we welcome back for the umpteenth time the fabulous eight-piece ceilidh monster The Committee Band with their regular caller Nick "pack in as many dances as possible" Walden. This will be a special dance as they have chosen it to launch their long-awaited third album.


This will be the penultimate dance of our 2007/08 season – because of problems booking the venue we will be holding our last dance on 9th February. We're hoping to be back again in November but we're not entirely sure yet.


Tickets will be available on the door or in advance from Record Corner, Godalming, online at http://www.gbhceilidhs.org.uk or by cheque (made out to "L Heath Dance Account" - £9.00 in advance, £8.00 to GBH Ceilidh members) to 6 Dunsdon Avenue, Guildford, Surrey GU2 7NX."

Please note the message regarding next year - I think the message "use it, or lose it" might possibly have some bearing. The last 2 GBH ceilidhs were fantastic and had a good number of dancers - here's hoping that the turn out for the Committee Band will follow that trend (besides which they're such a good band !! I don't dance, but I love listening to them.)
