Can anyone identify this song and name of the artist?
Lyrics are guess-timates in places...

When I was a little boy,
came home crying from school

My first love broke my heart in two
Mama would ____bring me toys to ease the pain

Then as I grew it was more of the same
keeping my heart happy was a full time thing

I can still hear Mama saying,
"Boy, what am I gonna do with you."

I went for all the crazes of my days
Got a tattoo and an earring,

If I had not met that girl
in a 3-piece business suit

Hi, Gene -
I added a bit to the title in hope of finding somebody who knows this. Can't say I've ever heard it. If he has a tattoo and an earring, and she has a 3-piece suit - I'd say it had to have been written after 1970.
