Subject: Obit: Joe Frank, radio monologist, at 79 From: robomatic Date: 21 Jan 18 - 11:47 PM Joe Frank was to me a daring and intriguing voice in the California darkness as I drove home from work north of the Bay Area about ten years ago. Now he is gone. You can visit his official website. His obit in the times. He is not a big name in popular broadcasting, but he influenced those who are. Ira Glass of "This American Life" and Glynn Washington of "Snap Judgment" to name a couple. A recent article about him appeared in Slate Magazine, online: Long may his memory reign in the radio waves. |

National Public Radio had a very interesting piece on him last week on its All Things Considered (click) program. Take a listen. There's a shorter piece Ka href=https://www.npr.org/2018/01/16/578422431/radio-artist-writer-joe-frank-dies-at-79>here (click) Rest in peace, Joe. -Joe Offer- |
