Subject: Grey Selkie in French From: Jack Campin Date: 09 Sep 25 - 03:17 AM I heard someone singing "The Grey Selkie of Sule Skerry" in French on Sunday - or something like it, using the James Waters tune. I couldn't stay to ask her about it. A bit of Googling suggests that Tri Yann did one in the 70s using Waters's tune, but French versions are far older than that tune, and older than any versions in English or Scots. But I can't find any of them. And does anyone have a link to the Tri Yann one? |
