I have just received confirmation of the passing of Roy Blackman of Rotherham ~ a genius memory man won money in the day on Hughie Green show on sporting events and people must have been in 1970s

He latterly wrote brilliant songs, and showed his skills and ability

Roy was a unique talent: a brilliant writer of songs in his own special corner of the tradition, and a born communicator, as well as a true gentleman.

I'd been worried as to his health and whereabouts in these post-Covid days and all my enquiries had drawn a blank. Does anyone have more details?
