In the infamously huge BS: For fun: Ten obscure facts about you thread there's some stuff about peanut butter combinations. I could probably come up with a few of my own (I'm a sushi fanatic), but at the moment I'm still reeling from Sunday's French onion dip experiences.

At the end of the service Sunday noontide, I went into the Lounge where we have Coffee Hour, and there were, on the table, what appeared to be a plate of sliced dark rye bread and a container of dip with a knife. IMO French onion. So I dipped the knife in the dip and slathered it all over a slice of the bread. And bit in. And discovered it was chocolate cake. Then they brought out the foccaccia with pesto and foccaccia with sun-dried tomatoes that the dip was intended to be used on.

Then about 9pm that night, after the evening service, I was telling people about the onion-dip-on-chocolate-cake episode, and meanwhile was putting another knifeload of the same onion dip on what looked to be another slice of the sun-dried-tomato foccaccia... and then discovered (by biting into it) that this one was from a sweet dough and the dried stuff was raisins (sultanas for those of you who call them sultanas).

Any others?

Well, I hate to show my ignorance, but...

When I first saw a bowl of watery soup being put on the table in front of me at a Chinese restaurant, some decades ago, I tried it and discovered it tasted like disinfectant. Oh hell! That was the finger bowl not the soup!
