Don't know if you all know of it, but Mr. Whitekey's "Fly By Night Club" in Spenard, Alaska has to be one of the global best. I was there at the end of August; the "Whale Fat Follies" was, well, indescribable.

And the list of those who have played there is unbelivable. Let Whitekeys know, and he'll let you play, too.

Spenard is a suburb of Anchorage. The club is closed from January to March (guess why!). Their spam-based dishes are terrific, and so is their regular food. AND they are the only bar I know of that levies a fifty cent "tax" on Budweiser in an effort to promote REAL beers!

Been there, done that, and you're absolutely correct Rapaire. It's a fabulous joint with a great revue cast and staff, and ol' Mr. Whitekeys himself is a funny talented individual.
I'm going back to Alaska for my annual January tour, and unfortunately the Fly By Night Club will be closed, so I'll probably go to Humpy's or the Log Cabin or some other splendid local spot on my nights off.
