Lyr Req: Hokey Pokey (RT's) 1st verse?

Can anybody fill in the blank in the first verse of "Hokey Pokey" below? Sounds like "got their money tucked up in their hand" but the word money is then repeated in the last line, so I don't know. I couldn't find this song in the DT so if someone will kindly complete the missing line we can bung it in. Also, I'm assuming that Richard Thompson wrote it, so somebody please correct the title-credit if I'm wrong. Thanks catters (my one remaining heroically-struggling brain cell thanks you too). Bonnie
