A bunch of us were 'threading' about the song "Tidewave" and the album of the same name by Robin Dransfield

We decided that it would be nice to see if we can get Topic Records to bring it out on CD - Great tracks on there like 'Tidewave' (obviously), 'Fair Maids Of February', 'Spencer The Rover' (With full brass band), 'When It's Night Time In Italy (It's Wednesday Over Here)'.......... Oh the whole album is a gem!

Well let's go for it!!!

And it would be good to ask Topic for brother Barry's Bowin' and Scrapin' at the same time.

The Dransfield's Fiddlers' Dream and some of Barry's solo material is available on CD but all their early output on Trailer remains unavailable (i.e. Bulmerised), although Free Reed has somehow obtained rights to some of it (as well holding them for their duo recording Popular to Contrary Belief.

These two solo recordings would, however, involve a straightforward decision to re-release on the part of Topic. So letting Tony Engle know there is a demand would be a first step...
