Hello
I am looking for a Double Bass Player in the Birmingham,England area.
Ideally slightly jazz improvisitory orientated, early to mid-forties, to replace previos bass player who is retiring through ill health. The herbs folk group do traditional, contemporary folk, and the full evenings reportoire consists of good sing along songs performed in a simple way with guitar ,banjo, vocal and an abundance of humour. anyone interested let me know.
there are always gigs lined up.

gee, I am a little old at 56, but the discription is perfect otherwise. I am also in the USA, but this sure sounds like the kind of gig I would like. Good luck   jimmyt
