Subject: Swindon Folksingers Club - new venue
From: GUEST

I met Ted Poole the other day and he informs me that the Swindon Folksingers Club has had to move yet again.

The new venue is MILTON ROAD CLUB, MILTON ROAD (off Faringdon Road) SWINDON, WILTSHIRE SN1 5JA. He says it is a very nice club room; very welcoming; with good real ales at club prices and good nearby parking.

They had to leave the Gorse Hill Club due to the introduction of very loud rock bands in a different room badly affecting them but they left with no hard feelings.

Contacts for the club are Eric Stott (01793 521301) and Ted Poole (01793 722335)

Programme is - Nov 18 Open House; Nov 25 Peta Webb & Ken Hall; Dec 2 Open House; Dec 9 Martin Graebe & Shan; Dec 16 Christmas Party.

Jan 20 is Sara Grey to celebrate the club's 46th anniversary!

Last month they had a SWARBAID Benefit evening and £400 was raised.

Cheers

Julian

I hope they tell me so that when I know I can change it on cresby.com

Though generally FC organisers don't.
