... I just can't help it. I have listened to these guys when they were two teenage guys and a guitar playing folk music in their bathrooms... I only post this because there may be some international 'Cats that have not heard these guys... worth a click...

Seriuously... these guys are infectious.... sorry.

Mick... check out "the bathroom sesions"... and on from there. Everyone here knows me as a hardcore Celt Trad kinda guy but I love all genres... and, these guys just "infect me". Sorry.

Here's their official site, Maeve: BNLMusic. And, HERE are the lyrics to the song in the link.

gnu, I've been listening to them since their first CD!I cannot find the thread, now, but I remember Catspaw saying his wife, Karen, was all excited once because they were coming to town. If I remember right, she got to go to a party where they were clowning around in a swimming pool.

Love their stuff! That's the first I've seen of them way back when. What cuties!

I've more imagination than time or wit, Effsee. Trying to figure out how to keep it as a short story (as opposed to a novel I know I will never finish.)

Thanks for the trip down memory lane, gnu. I still like that one, tho' I've heard it played to death (mostly by people that didn't have the humour down).

"Tree Fort Band". Snap that one up, boys.

I don't know why you apologized so much, gnu. I listened to the song "If I had a million dollars." It's about as traditional as they get, with its simple melody and the echo. No doubt Cub Scouts and Brownies are singing it around the campfire by now.

Thanks for posting.

It's nice to see people with talent who also understand how to have fun. There's too many po faced performers about.
Haven't heard a lot from the Barenaked Ladies, mostly just "One Week" played occasionaly on the wireless. I ought to check them out properly. Bathroom sessions sound like a good idea.
Quack!
GtD.
