Subject: Mudcat Dreaming From: Roger in Baltimore Date: 07 Jul 99 - 03:28 PM Well, certify me! I have gone over the edge. Last night I had my first Mudcat dream. Like most dreams, I only have bits and pieces of it. Somehow Joe Offer and I were helping some young lady in distress. Joe had a lap top where he was preparing his posts for the Mudcat. After helping this damsel in distress we then planned how we could keep this young lady away from Big Mick for we knew she would be powerless in the face of his many charms. There were a few other nameless faces in the dream. I was shocked when I awakened to realize how real this cyber community has become to me. It may be withdrawal symptoms. I am away from home for a week or so and can only access the 'Cat while I'm at work. Anybody else as sick as I and having Mudcat dreams? Roger in Baltimore |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Dreaming From: Max Date: 07 Jul 99 - 03:34 PM Wow it works. I have been prototyping some technology for the mudcat that lets you browse in your dreams. Thanks roger, you proved that it works for me. And Big Mick, I'm still blushing about that dream you had the other night... |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Dreaming From: Sandy Paton Date: 07 Jul 99 - 03:35 PM Not yet, Roger, but I'm about to be away for nearly two weeks, and I'm worried about painful withdrawal symptoms. I'll say "hello" to Art from all of you Mudcatters. We'll be seeing him on Monday. Behave yourselves, now, while I'm away! Sandy |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Dreaming From: Mudjack Date: 07 Jul 99 - 03:47 PM Wow, We're becoming a bunch of sick puppies. Not yet and I'm sure I'll be affected in time. I'm still in denial about being addicted to the Mudcat. Hudjack |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Dreaming From: Dave Swan Date: 07 Jul 99 - 11:08 PM When I saw a thread called Mudcat Dreaming I thought it must be an anthropological discovery made by a Mudcat from Oz. Now there's something to conjure with...a Mudcat Dreaming. I wonder what Bruce Chatwin would have said. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Dreaming From: Sandy Paton Date: 08 Jul 99 - 12:02 AM You're on, Art. The birthday dinner will be a few days late but we're looking forward to it. Bring your own candles. My next Mudcat fix will have to come when we share a meal with Big Mick at the Cracker Barrel in Kalamazoo on our way to Ann Arbor! I'm going to ignore my cholesterol level and have the chicken fried steak with sawmill gravy, by doggies! See you soon, ol' buddy! Sandy |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Dreaming From: katlaughing Date: 08 Jul 99 - 12:31 AM Oh, SandyGramps? And, what will ye be havin' when ya make it out our way, eh? Buffalo burgers? Yech! Since yer makin' the rounds, ya know? Fare safe, fare well katlaughing |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Dreaming From: Bob Bolton Date: 08 Jul 99 - 12:35 AM G'day all ... and Dave Swan, I must agree - my first thoughts ran to a deep southern branch of the Mudcat Religion thread ... what with the holy link of the Great Shared Possum (even if that one might have been holey...) and the shared angst for massed marching bands. The possiblities rolled on - a local logo with leaping barramundi against didgeridu and billabong - Saint Alan, by whose grace ABCs flow to MIDI and MIDI to text - subversive infiltration of the lagerphone schism - more songs about sheep than there are sheep in the outback - ... Hmmmm! Maybe it WAS a good thing I was only dreaming. Regard(les)s , Bob Bolton |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Dreaming From: Big Mick Date: 08 Jul 99 - 01:18 AM Shit, Max. Name your price,.........I will pay anything to keep that software away from the general Mudcat populace. I canna have them find out who I am dreaming about. And if they found out what we were doing..........damn..........and you saw it........damn.......I might have to double up what I payed for that album.......damn. Sandy, I am anxious for our cholesterol bullet brunch. The lovely Carolyn will probably have to have a cattle prod to get us away from the feed........nothing worse than arc scars from them. I can't wait to see you both. Lunch is on me, just bring your appetite. Mick |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Dreaming From: Roger in Baltimore Date: 08 Jul 99 - 07:23 AM Joe, As I recall it, our interests were only to help, not to win her heart. We both knew better about Big Mick, that's why we plotted to protect her. Big RiB |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Dreaming From: Uilleand Date: 08 Jul 99 - 10:35 AM The mudcat does form songlines across the various continents. What's next? Banjo Man Dreaming? |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Dreaming From: Steve Parkes Date: 09 Jul 99 - 09:09 AM I'll let you be in my dream if I can be in yours ... Wasn't it Lao Tziu who logged on to the 'Cat once, and aftewards could never be sure if he was Lao Tziu who once logged on to the 'Cat, or the 'Cat who was once logged onto by Lao Tziu? If it wasn't him, why did he dream he was Lao Tziu? Or maybe we're all dreams of the 'Cat, and when it wakes up, we'll all disappear? Alice P.S. Good thing Lao Tziu didn't do the Hokey-Cokey. |
