Hi Paltalkers,
The Mudcat Song Circle will be opening at 1300 Mudcat Time (1800 BST for UK). Possibly a little earlier in case anybody needs to do a sound-check.
To use the room, you need the Paltalk software on your PC plus a soundcard to hear us, and a microphone if you want to join in.
To find the room, run the paltalk program, select the "groups" browser, make sure the 'Adult' box is checked. Scroll down to 'Music', double click, and scroll down to the "Mudcat Song Circle" group. Double click to enter the room.

I just tried but no matter what I do, I can't get sound....my set up passes the sound test, I can get sound with every other application, get into PT and nothing.....oh bum!

I still can't get the download from PALTALK, it keeps asking me to re-enter my password. there seems to be no way round it nor any help/feedback! Any iedas?

Thankx Uncle Dave_O & irishajo for my first Mudcat/Paltalk session, having just got it all setup a few days ago. Some minor difficulties but quality was pretty good overall. & to sing half way round the world in just about real time. wow! Look out for when its next open, I recommend it!

So is the song circle still going to happen then? I know I've not been around for a few weeks (been away, been ill, you know...) but I logged on this afternoon, sat there with the room open for a while and nothing happened... It seems it's been the case for a few weeks now.

Would it help if there were more admins? Or if we didn't lock the room??

I really enjoy the song circles but can't commit to opening one up at the moment. Is there any other circle during the week going on??

Hey Liz, I just got Paltalk installed a couple of days ago. I'm dying to try it out. Been looking for a song circle and haven't found much that looked very interesting. I was hoping I wasn't too late for the party, so to speak. I'd like to give that a try just to see how it works.
