I am a farmer's daughter. Mine was lost in a barn amongst bales of hay. Didn't feel a thing and wondered what all the fuss was about!

Er - Brucie, it wasn't the school teacher, it was the schoolteacher's spouse who is not stated to have been staff, so presumably wasn't staff.

Similar restrictions appear to be imposed on university teachers too, and there I do not see that it is wrong at all unless the teacher teaches the student in question, or of course uses authority to coerce.

I was nearly 16 and it was with my school music teacher. He was the first person to tell me that I had a good singing voice, but he said he could help me to use it better, so I used to go round to his flat after school on Wednesdays. He showed me how to sing from my tummy by standing behind me with his hands round my chest to stop me from breathing up the top, then one day he asked me if I wanted to do something else and I said OK. We used to do it regularly after that and I really enjoyed it.

yipes! no no, don't go looking for stringless sex on the internet. find a real, in-person, grownups only sort of club that doesn't mind admitting single men.* then go, and tell everyone you meet that you're looking for your first experience. be bashful but charming. you can't fail. :)

* lots of "swingers" clubs are for couples only, or allow singles only if they're female. the assumption is that single men are on the make (like everyone else isn't??) and will harrass the women present. there are clubs without this prejudice; shop around. er, so to speak.

Well, I'll tell ya. It happened in 1932. In New York City, not long after I got off the boat from Africa. She was short, bowlegged, and hairy. A real looker. She had big, pouty lips, and could hoot like a howler monkey. But she was all Chimpanzee. Her name was Zelda. I met her at a Coney Island hotdog stand. We went for a walk along the seaside, under the boardwalk, and we found a discreet place in the shadows. The moon was real bright in the sky and you could hear the ferris wheels and painted pony rides off in the distance. It was amazing. I ain't seen Zelda in many years, but I ain't never gonna forget. Now you know. I don't talk about this stuff much, but I just hadda say it for some reason. Those were unforgettable times, even with all the prejudice. You hadda see New York in those days to believe it.

I used to live in the Detroit area -- which is not *too* far from Elderly Instruments (Lansing's folk music mecca). One evening, during a sing, the subject of Elderly Instruments came up, and everyone was talking about the last time they'd managed to get there.

It seemed I was the only person in the room who had never been to the place, so I boldly (but unwisely!) stated that I was an "Elderly Virgin"...

The room got very quiet. I turned bright red. "Let me rephrase that..." I said, as everyone else fell over laughing.
