I don't get out to sing very often these days. In fact, the last time that I did it was advertised by the club as a 'rare appearance'.This post is just to let folk in the area know that I am doing a rare appearance at Swindon Folksingers Club, in the Milton Road Club, Milton Rd,(off Faringdon RD) Swindon, on Friday, November 30th. Anny 'Catters around I'd be glad to see you. Burl.

I wish there were a 'rare appearance' here in the US again.

Bill D, I will be coming to the USA again. But unless there is a change of plan it won't be until 2009!   Best Wishes, Burl.

Hi Burl

Please pass on our love and best wishes to everyone at Swindon Folksingers. We still think of them though now living on foreign ground...

Have a great evening at a really great club.

Cheers

How I wish I could be in the audience!

And I fervently hope any "rare appearance" in the US will be within reasonable driving time of Nottingham, New Hampshire!

Linn

I had a great night a month or so ago when I played the Swindon club (my regular gigs there over the years are due in no small part to Burl, who recommended me to Ted Poole about twenty years ago). Roy Harris singing at Swindon would be my idea of a perfect folk club evening, so I hope the locals turn out in force.

Hey there
I'm got so many wonderful memories of your ground breaking trip to the Bermuda FC back in '77 I think...30 years..woops....
But I still remember 'fathom the bowl' damaging the rafters on the pier at one of the early Cleethorpes Folk Festivals...
Enjoy treading the boards again my friend...wish I could be there...

You're the man

Cheers
Pete Sumner

Well folks, tonight's the night and I am really looking forward to it. My good friend Mike O'Leary-Johns (Big Mike, from Mainbrace) is coming over too to sing from the floor and add his mighty voice to the choruses. Thank you for all the encouraging messages. Burl
