Subject: Symphony for Yorkshire From: sian, west wales Date: 30 Jul 10 - 06:11 AM I saw an item on the Symphony for Yorkshire on BBC TV1 this morning and was very impressed. Although this particular clip doesn't show it, there seems to be a fair bit of traditional music incorporated, and a number of folk musicians. Anyone we know ... ? sian |

Subject: RE: Symphony for Yorkshire From: Tootler Date: 03 Aug 10 - 07:57 AM This was shown on BBC Look North last night, it's only part one of four. Are you sure? All the info I have seen says that the Symphony is 15 mins long. The video in the link I provided was 19 mins. It also has the full credits at the end. It is the complete symphony as far as I can see. |
Subject: RE: Symphony for Yorkshire From: Ian@whitby Date: 03 Aug 10 - 08:24 AM I was a tad disappointed to such a large Latin component in the section shown. I enjoy Latin music, and thought that particular contribution worked well... but it's hardly representative of Yorkshire music. |
