so some folks are having a bit of a pissing contest and then it's over? As a relatively new dabbler in the mud on the Cat I guess I just don't get it.

Any illumination out there?

The Mudcat is a great big playground, and we are the oversized kids who play in it. I think it's as simple as that. People are having fun.

john, the closing of the "who will be last" thread is what is confusing me. seems you made a comment that offended joeclone who evidently has the ability to put a stop to such foolishness.

I've seen a multitude of more offensive comments all over mudcat...was"joe" just having a bad day?

I stopped looking at that one some time back, so didn't realize it had been closed. I don't want to jinx any other threads of never-ending drivel (but entertaining nonetheless) so I'll leave it at that.

They closed the thread?? I go offline for a few days, and my world is rocked! Seriously, 42, I agree with CarolC, I do believe we come to mudcat to play, both mentally and emotionally. I've learned a lot here in a short time, and I never have enough time to read all I fancy. I've even used the chatroom, which I would have BET someone a couple of months back, would never have seen my moniker.

But within these cyber-walls live some terrific folk..a few troubled souls as well, and more than a few true eccentrics...but so far from what I can deduce, no one has murdered anyone else, even when they've met in the "real world" which puts us ahead of the game..so welcome and enjoy!..xx..e
