Yes The ref , or Steve last last has collected a set of contemptuos songs during the past 5 yearswhich reflect the direction that folk song song has taken, these will be songs from the cutting edge by some of the best writers

well worth a visit.

The chorus singing will be worth it alone as herga has the reputation of being the best chorus singing club in and around the M25, you have to sing up to even hear yourself at times

I plan a good mix of traditional, almost traditional plus older and recent contemporary stuff. There are some that I've not sung at Herga before on which I can't wait to hear the Herga Chorus.

He was indeed in very fine voice - best I'd heard him ever, despite nursing a cold. And the bugger has gone and improved on my "Countryside like this" too, I think I'll start playing it the way he does it now!

Lovely evening, I thoroughly enjoyed playing "JC" on all the choruses.

Thanks for the kind words. I realy enjoyed it, although despite Breezy and El G's efforts you can't help but miss Johnny and Graeme. I was really looking forward to having the full Herga Wall of Sound blasting back at me. Next time may be! Hint, Hint.

Villan, it's the Singing Ref, who's half of Moses and The Ref, who'll be at your place in support of Stitherum on the 24th Feb and in our own right on 11th August (as I guess you know really!). Guess it's OK to hijack my own thread.

I've just managed to get onto the Cat. It's often down when I am up (shall I re-phrase that?). What doesn't it like about 08.00 GMT?

Anyway, had a good night on Monday with The Ref in good voice - trust you have finally got rid of that cold, Steve.

We let everybody bring their own. That way they are able to make sure they get what they want and that the crisps haven't been infected by somebody else who didn't wash their hands after going to the bog. stops anybody suing me for food poisening :-)
