Subject: Free Beretta! From: JedMarum Date: 27 Dec 02 - 12:29 PM How sad, this poor man may not last another year in jail. First they framed OJ, and now they want to put Robert Blake away for good! |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: MMario Date: 27 Dec 02 - 12:34 PM on the other hand Jed - he has consistantly gone against his lawyers advice... |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: Midchuck Date: 27 Dec 02 - 12:44 PM Where do I get it? Is it the 9 mm? Do they make you pay shipping? Peter. |

Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: Rick Fielding Date: 27 Dec 02 - 01:10 PM Well, as far as 'planning your murders properly' go, I have to agree with you Jed. It's too bad that OJ and Bobby can't get together for a little chat about where they went wrong, Ha ha! Haven't EITHER of these turkeys ever heard about THE MOB??!! Jeezus, it's like ME tryin' to fix the damn furnace in this house, rather than calling a professional! Sorry for being cynical folks, but do I think that the line between basest criminal activity and TV entertainment has been blurred to invisibility? Yup. Rick |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: John MacKenzie Date: 27 Dec 02 - 01:17 PM Rick, due to the insiduous effect of the media, most people now think either in sound bites, or film scenarios. Free and independent thought has become an endangered species. Giok |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: Rick Fielding Date: 27 Dec 02 - 01:32 PM You may be right Giok, I'll check CNN first to find out whether I agree with you. |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: Wesley S Date: 27 Dec 02 - 01:32 PM Giok - The voices on my TV set said I should disagree with you on that. |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: leprechaun Date: 27 Dec 02 - 10:38 PM Those Berettas are such crappy guns, I wouldn't take it if you paid me. |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: rock chick Date: 28 Dec 02 - 07:50 AM Personally speaking i love the Berettas, rarely miss a shot! watch out you fellers who mess with us girlies!! |

Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: SINSULL Date: 28 Dec 02 - 03:49 PM MMario - according to a news report, he followed his lawyers advice in letting his hair go gray - an attempt at making him look old and feable and unlikely to be a murderer. Would be a shame to spend your last Christmas on earth in jail. |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: leprechaun Date: 29 Dec 02 - 02:57 AM I think they're picking on him because he's Italian. I bet Mark Fuhrman planted the evidence. I hope he gets off on some goofy 9th Circuit Court technicality that didn't exist a year ago. Then he and Winona Ryder can go shopping together. |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: JedMarum Date: 29 Dec 02 - 11:54 AM LOL leprechaun! 'Twould be a shame for anyone to spend his last Christmas on earth in a prison. But I suspect he's lucky that's the worst that will happen to him. It is highly unlikely that he didn;t murder his wife. His best defense so far is that someone shot her while he went back into the restauraunt to get his gun (that accidentally fell out of his pocket while he was in there). Now that makes a good alibi, doesn't it? All the stories about his behaviour and their lifestyle also make the accusation of his murder look plausible as well. If it looks like shrimp, smells like shrimp and tastes like shrimp - it probably is shrimp. BUT; that's why we have jury trials ... to see if all the facts can be presented in a lawful and fair fashion, and see if the jury still believes it's shrimp. In the case of OJ, I think the jury thought it might be shrimp but didn;t care because they were so pissed off at the fisherman who caught the shrimp! |

Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: Rick Fielding Date: 29 Dec 02 - 12:07 PM As of this morning's paper: OJ, down at USC palling around with the coaches and players. To them, he's a great guy. Murdering his wife and a local waiter doesn't seem to matter one bit. Hmmmmmm. Rick |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: JedMarum Date: 30 Dec 02 - 10:43 AM Run OJ, get your freedom! The idiots lined the highways and overpasses as OJ and friend avoided police. They didn't care what he did, the fact that he might be big enough to avoid the constraints of the law made him a hero. Flaunt police, spit in the eye of social regulation, give Lady Justice the bird ... OJ the hero; the brave man who slashed his wife and friend to death because he was pissed off ... and he's rich enough and celebrity enough to be above the law! It ain;t gunna work for Bobby Blake. He was never the hero that OJ was. OJ was truly a superb running back. A gifted and well developed athlete ... he was also obviously a spoiled, undisciplined and amoral human being. Selfish, self centered to the core. The as*holes who still support him or even associate with him for any reason are similarly cursed. |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: Rick Fielding Date: 30 Dec 02 - 11:04 AM Well, according to the 'net' those 'assholes' who line up for months to play golf with him are the bigshots and CEOs of the top companies in America. Now here's the thing....they know he killed the two people, so why the supposed friendship? Is it simply a 'novelty' thing? I guess when you're very rich, you get bored easily. Personally, I think it must be a very creepy feeling being in the same room with him. Now, Blake......the more details you read about Bobby, his 'girlfriend/wife' her friends, their lifestyle.....hooooo boy, If you ever think that 'wealth brings intelligence' don't bother. Rick |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: JedMarum Date: 30 Dec 02 - 11:08 AM LOL You know, I find it appalling and hard to believe that the idiots around DC actually went out with picnic baskets in Sunday dress to watch the first battle of Bull Run (Mannassas to all you folks south of the Mason Dixon line). The idiots ended up running for their lives when the Yankees got routed - and increasing the panic and retreat chaos. I love my brother,my fellow human beings, generally; but boy do we have very unredeeming qualities, at times! |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: SINSULL Date: 30 Dec 02 - 11:26 AM feeble! Not you, Jed. My spelling. If OJ showed up at my door on a dark stormy night needing to call AAA for a tow, I would turn him away. But that holds true for George Bush as well. Wonder how those CEOs would feel if their daughters chose to date OJ? |
Subject: RE: Free Baretta! From: Stilly River Sage Date: 30 Dec 02 - 11:47 AM Jed, I would add to your list folks who go to the beach to watch Tidal Waves. My brother lived in an apartment a block from the beach in one of those ritzy California LA coastal towns. His roommate was a guy whose sister was some famous actor's girlfriend. I never learned more about the guy, just this idiotic Hollywood "credential." Anyway, there was some heavy weather out there and I called my brother to see if he was going to evacuate. The roommate answered the phone. I asked if they were planning to get out. He said no, he wasn't worried, "We live on the third floor." I asked him what he'd do if the first and second floor suddenly went away? Duh. It's pretty scary, what people don't think about. SRS |

Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: GUEST,ambulance chaser Date: 30 Dec 02 - 07:47 PM Pro and con opinions bfore anyone has heard the evidence. Ho Hum. O. J. Simpson was aquitted by a jury which caught the stink of the faked and/or contaminated evidence. Let him rest. |
Subject: RE: Free Beretta! From: gnu Date: 30 Dec 02 - 07:56 PM Perhaps, when the DNA expert stated that there were 84,000 other matches in the US, the jury felt that the blood evidence was not "beyond a reasonable doubt"... besides the absolute stupidity of the police in their handling of the eveidence. |
