Subject: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: catspaw49 Date: 01 Sep 99 - 10:45 AM Yes fellow 'Catters, today is the day! Since Sunday Morning I have been longing for Tonight. The ship has come in, loaded with Rye whiskey and biscuits for all. I'm sure I'm not alone and we are in union in saying a prayer and perhaps singing a Carol together for the lifeline of Mudcat to flow gently down the river of Real Player audio. The wall of silence has been lifted by the can do job of the Keeper of this nuthouse and his salty dog sidekick. Across the land, Maine to Alabama, or going to the west, Houston, and around the world a new Mudcat heritage will break the shroud of the foggy dew. So Here's to you Rounders, Max, Bert, and crew.....Grab that throttle like Casey Jones and head on down the road. Like Michael in his boat, trust your judgement and make shore safely. Beware of trouble and maintain the heart of a lion as you leave of websites in the dust once again. Sally forth to meet whatever you may find. I suggest you interview both Sandy and Caroline and open the show with a composite song such as "Black is the Color of Mother's Moose Turd Pie with a Hog Eye on Top." If my line is bad or net congestion intercedes, I will have the blues and be singing sad ballads. Well I'll wish you the best and personally hope that I get the high percentage of green clickies I was awkwardly attempting to string together. BTW, if your Moose Turd Pie IS black, you're probably feeding your moose too much iron. Seriously......All the Best guys!!!! Cleigh and I and Karen and the rest of the family will be crowded 'round the old computer (updated 30's kinda' thing ain't it?) and listening for the latest. Cletus, Paw, Buford and the Reg boys went to a "Whiz-In" sponsored by Iron City beer and hopefully they won't be back tonight. Thanks for your hard work Max and crew! Spaw |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: Date: 01 Sep 99 - 12:40 PM I'm beginning to wish I had never recorded Moose turd Pie. Some time ago, I had the pleasure of spending an evening with friends. Tom Paxton was there, and, the only song he asked me to sing was Moose turd goddamn pie!! |

And if we have any left you can give it away tonight on the show. Or maybe we could leave it out for those waiting in line at Father Joebro's confessional. I'll be getting there early myself as I have sinned against the green clickies.

NOT to put any pressure on you, Max, but, ummmm, are we just 'sposed to "tune in" and drop out and get this thing psychically??? Easy, now, I am only kidding! I know you are working at a feverish pace to get it up and running (the radio show, phoaks!) and am just excited. Thanks for all you do! luvyaKat |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: MMario Date: 01 Sep 99 - 04:47 PM You mean something like this Blue clicky thing? URL:http://www.mudcat.org/episode1.cfm which as far as I can figure out is where to go. MMario |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: katlaughing Date: 01 Sep 99 - 05:01 PM My apologies, Max and THANK YOU to MMario! How did I miss that!?? I went looking a day or two ago and couldn't find anything! WooHoo! Ride 'em, dogies! kat |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: Jeri Date: 01 Sep 99 - 05:01 PM If you go to "Quick Links" above, and click on "Mudcat Radio," there's a link to the live show. And I want to know who was playing the headbanger music a few minutes ago! The link is down now - probably because of Speigeltweaking. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: katlaughing Date: 01 Sep 99 - 05:07 PM I missed the headbanger, Jeri, but I am listening to the archive of Rick's show, right now. Sounds great! kat |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: Max Date: 01 Sep 99 - 05:20 PM Goodie, goodie, goodie, it works. Glad Rick's show sounds good. Jeri, that music was playing for our guy (pantleg) that is furiously trying to get the chat done in time for the show. That headbanger music, he convinced me, makes him code faster. Later. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: Jeri Date: 01 Sep 99 - 05:26 PM Hell, Max, tell 'im to crank it!!! (This is gonna be sooo much fun!) |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: catspaw49 Date: 01 Sep 99 - 05:37 PM WELL ALRIGHT MAX!!!!!!! GIVE THAT BOY A MOOSETURD PIE AND ONE FOR PANTLEG TOO!!! Spaw |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: catspaw49 Date: 01 Sep 99 - 08:58 PM Evidently we got a hold of some bad Moose Turd Pie here or I have committed grievous sin against the God of the Green Clickies by abusing them so at the beginning of this thread. Forgive me great green clickie mohunker for I have whupped up...........Don't take it out on Max...although you might give him a little grief over the situation with greed and Cleigh' ass.... Spaw -- who tried chat and locked up the puter!!! |

Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: Sandy Paton Date: 01 Sep 99 - 10:05 PM Jeez, 'sPaw, I was sure it was I, as the sparrow said when asked who killed cock robin. Sandy |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: Alice Date: 01 Sep 99 - 11:54 PM speaking of moose.... I have not been at the Mudcat very much lately because I had to do the shirt designs for the Denver ski show that just ended (a great success for us) and among the various styles I created was this one: My Moose I just listened to the archive of the Mudcat show... great stuff Sandy, Caroline, Rick, Bert, Max,... and it was neat to see the video of the room where you were working. alice |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: Bert Date: 02 Sep 99 - 11:00 AM That's a great moose Alice. Unfortunately he appears to be potty trained (Unless 'Spaw snuck up behind him with a shovel and pail). We need a picture of a moose WITH the pie ingredients. Bert. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: Roger the zimmer Date: 02 Sep 99 - 11:08 AM WARNING:Thread creep The last 2 postings remind me of a time when my late mother, not the greatest knitter in the world, knitted me a jumper from a pattern in a magazine with a cowboy on a rearing horse on the front. Unfortunately she started his tail in brown wool too soon, realised her mistake but could't be bothered to unpick it so the completed pattern had this small line of brown underneath the horse's rear end. Imagine my embarrassment at wearing it and the "chi-iking" (local dialect: teasing, mocking) I got from my 7-yearold schoolfriends:" Your horse has shit " . So you see, Doctor, it explains a lot... |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: Alice Date: 02 Sep 99 - 11:49 AM Bert, my son says my moose looks like he is wearing shorts on his front end (well, I guess the pattern does look that way... kinda cute) and as you can see, he has no pants on the rear end... there is lush foliage sprouting from the gound all around him... well fertilized.... and after all, it is on a black shirt. |
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio and Moose Turd Pie From: Bert Date: 02 Sep 99 - 12:48 PM ....lush foliage sprouting from the ground all around him.... So that's where Miracle Grow comes from ;-) |
