George Papavgeris, aka El Greko, appearing as the guest on Mick Peat & Lester Simpson's "Folkwaves" programme on BBC Radio Derby tonight at 19:00 (12:00 noon in Chicago, 4am tomorrow in Canberra). You can listen in over the internet using this link: Folkwaves on the Internet (click on "Listen Live"), or of course on 104.5FM, 95.3FM and 96FM if you are local.

If you do listen in, you'll also get to hear the newest song, "Tsamiko", which is rapidly becoming a favourite of mine - but not on any album yet.

I think there's a good possibility that 17:00 BST = 1 PM/13:00 in Chicago and 2 PM/14:00 Mudcat time(EST).

I listen to Folkwaves fairly regularly, so I caught it even though I hadn't seen this announcement. Great job, George. You're a really fine songwriter. Hope you give Tsamiko a Getaway debut this fall.

Do you think it's just a coincidence that Folkwaves has *finally* been given a *listen again' button on the *very* day that George appeared?

"I don't think so!!" she sang in a high voice...with a big grin on her face!!

They did, Lizzie - I got plied with tea and sandwiches, and then they plied me some mre... Both Mick & Lester are great fun to be with and it's great to see them bouncing off each other with the patter. As for the "Listen again" - well, it cost me a bit extra, but it was worth it! :-)

Breezy - from my experience, if you ain't got RealPlayer, then the website will automatically prompt you to install it (FOC) when you first try to access the listen-again link. That should put you in there. best of luck.

Better still go to this website http://www.download.com/RealPlayer/3000-2139_4-10255189.html

Save it to your desktop.
That way you can open it from your desktop and install it.

Once it is installed, make sure it is open and then go to the radio programme and it should all work.
