Subject: Books and CDs in Auction for Open Mike From: Seamus Kennedy Date: 15 Jul 08 - 10:47 AM Hi. I blatantly ripped off Jacqui C's idea, and am contributing 10 copies of my book Clean Cabbage in the Bucket, and 10 copies of my new CD Sailing Ships & Sailing Men to be auctioned with 90% going to Open Mike and 10% to the Mudcat. Bid your little hearts out, it's for a worthy cause. Thanks, 'Catters. Seamus Mudcat Auction (click) |

Subject: RE: Books and CDs in Auction for Open Mike From: Joe Offer Date: 15 Jul 08 - 12:32 PM Hi, Maeve - Seamus told me postage is included in the auction price for this one. Now for the sake of honesty, Seamus isn't the only author of the collection of stories called Clean Cabbage in the Bucket - so if you don't like Seamus, you'll like the other authors. It's a great book. -Joe- |

Subject: RE: Books and CDs in Auction for Open Mike From: katlaughing Date: 16 Jul 08 - 11:25 PM Debra, look in the BS section. Open Mike/Laurel is a member in California who lost her home to wildfires while she was out fighting said fires to save others' homes! |

Subject: RE: Books and CDs in Auction for Open Mike From: Anne Lister Date: 18 Jul 08 - 04:40 PM How would I add some CDs to the auction? I'd be very happy to help. Anne |

Subject: RE: Books and CDs in Auction for Open Mike From: reggie miles Date: 18 Jul 08 - 08:27 PM I'd like to help as well! If my cds can help I'd be happy to donate them. But what happened? Don't tell me that the fires raging in the hills of CA got to your little corner of paradise. I've not heard anything because I've not been here in a while. Reg |

Subject: RE: Books and CDs in Auction for Open Mike From: katlaughing Date: 18 Jul 08 - 08:56 PM Just go to the auction and follow the steps, folks. Open Mike and others of her patch of land lost their houses to wildfires while she was out saving other peoples' homes from the same fires. See the BS thread about Open Mike Losing her home, etc. I don't know how others feel, but it might be better to stretch these things out so that folks can afford to bid on several items without their budgets being overwhelmed all at once? What say you all? |

Subject: RE: Books and CDs in Auction for Open Mike From: jacqui.c Date: 18 Jul 08 - 09:34 PM Sounds like a very good idea Kat - I already suggested that to Peace, who wants to put some CDs into the auction. Laurel probably won't need this cash too urgently so there's no real rush for everything to go on. |

Subject: RE: Books and CDs in Auction for Open Mike From: reggie miles Date: 18 Jul 08 - 09:46 PM Okay, I've got three new releases of all original songs to add to the auction, "Handsful O' Blues" 11 Blues and Novelty songs, "These Old Shoes" my kinder gentler offering of 12 sweeter and sillier Folk/Blues and "War Mongerin' Man" 13 no holds barred seriously social messages. I'll check the procedures regarding how to add them. I can certainly abide by whatever process is acceptable for the greater good of the cause. Reg |

Subject: RE: Books and CDs in Auction for Open Mike From: katlaughing Date: 18 Jul 08 - 11:08 PM Reggie, that sounds great, but maybe set it for a long length of time or stagger them so we all can stretch our spending money and have a chance at them all?:-) For you and Anne and anyone else who wonders, here are instruction on how to use the AUCTION. Thanks! |

Subject: RE: Books and CDs in Auction for Open Mike From: Anne Lister Date: 19 Jul 08 - 07:13 AM Thanks, Kat ..added my CD to the list. There are 10 copies available, so I'm not quite sure how this works - but I'll wait and see what happens! Anne |

Where can I forward his kind donation? Is there a bank account that someone has already established? Many thanks, Reg |
