Yes it's true, the real Rick Fielding from Canada, will be performing in Goole, East Yorkshire as part of his UK tour in September.
He will be playing at "The Vikings Hotel" Airmyn Road on Sunday September 29th starting around 7-30.
The nearest venues apart from Goole will be in Stockton and Mansfield. Please send me a PM for further details. Cheers Bill

I'm a friend, but the one time I managed to see him at a gig, he only played about 5 songs and got a huge standing ovation, with people jumping up and down and whooping and throwing panties on the stage. Far better than good!

according to ricks website he is doing "harvey" on the 23 Sept I presume this is a typo for Herga Folk Club (Harrow) Cllr

I know when I threw my panties at him in Ann Arbor, the good folks kept them and turned them into a shelter for itinerant musicians to get them off the steam grates in the streets. Last I knew, they were talking about deeding it to a group of Senior Citizens for an activity center. hahahahaha

There was a bit of a "backing off period" while I was in hospital, but now that I'm back among the land of the living, Heather's on the case as far as bookings and the venues. They'll be up here in a few days.

So far: Fingerpicking back to 90%

Flatpicking at 75%

Singing at 80%

Appetite at 159%!

From what I've heard, Rick, it would be worth the money if you were down to 20 per cent on those first three counts - though I suppose the money's going to be a big item if that appetite doesn't come down.

For some forgotten reason, I find myself living nine miles from Mansfield - an impossible distance for a Canadian to contemplate I expect, but if the show's on, I'm going to make that journey.

It is true, Rick's tour has been cancelled due to a death in the family, but we are sure that the tour will take place next year.

Yep. 'Fraid it's true. Heather (Duckboots) and her sister Linda (Mcknees) just lost their Dad, Tom Docherty, and it's not a particularly happy time for them. This tour was as much for Heather to see the countryside, meet some of my music buddies, old and new, and in general have a nice vacation, while I earned my living. Thanks to the great help of Burl, Harvey Andrews and Bill Sables we had a good little tour planned. Hopefully we can re-book it in a few months.
