I bought a "Logitech Quickcam" recently but when I set it up and contacted a friend, I could see and hear them, and they could see me but they can't hear me. The microphone is set into the camera and all my setting appear correct. Has anyone out there got any advice on this matter?

1) You may not be getting enough volume - either you are too far away, or need to set the "extra 20dB boot" setting in your (assumed MS) volume control setting thingie...

2) alternatively, RTFM...

Ooops

1a) You should also check that you set the check box in that same appln thingie to allow the mic to work.

1b) You didn't say which exact model, so I ASS-U-ME that the sound is fed in via the same USB plug as the video - check that manual to see that you have the correct SW running that feeds the sound into your machine - you may have to change some settings so that the 'sound card appln' can find the mic signal.

3) You didn't say WHAT application thingies youa re using to talk to others, if something like Yahoo Messenger or PlaTalk, there is usally a 'setup thingie link' somewhere - these often have some sort of troubleshooting dialogue to help you set it up properly.

Thare are so many variables, about which you have been nowhere specefic enough,,,, so the techie guys can onlu GUESS what is happenning, based on their own past (often bitter) personal experience - hence the advice to RTFM. :-)
